Latest News & Next Meeting
This week’s meeting was a slide show of members' images complied with an open theme. A vast range of subjects were covered, from Trees throughout the season, candid photography during Welshpool in Summer, wildlife photography, haunting images from France - a spectacular range of actions shots with Helicopters and fighter jet aerobatic displays to breath-taking scenery from Africa with the night ending on an uplifting theme from Dan, candid shots around a night out at a rugby match – I almost fancy going to one!
February 28th is our internal compettion for "Waters Edge". This will be a selection competition for an external competition of the same theme. Let your creativity run wild and let us see your work - members may submit up to 3 prints and up to 3 digital images. Deadline for entries is the 24th February - that is less only seven days away. If anyone needs any assistance with mounting images, please contact Claire who will gladly help with this.
If you have any pictures at any time throughout the year that you took on a club night or club trip which could be used to illustrate this page or to go on the club photographs gallery, please email them to Claire - zed282 at hotmail.com. We decided it was time for an update of the "Club Photographs" gallery - please feel free to have a browse and send us any more images you'd like to see in the gallery.
Simon Airey - Change of Date
Unfortunately we have had to change the date of Simon Airey's visit with his collection of small creatures. He will now be coming along on the 12th March - a Monday - we hope that members are still able to make this session and we apologise for any incovenenience caused. We will still hold a meeting on 31st January and the subject of the meeting will be advised shortly. If any member has any burning subject or issue they want to cover on the 31st please let Adam know as soon as possible.
