Welshpool Camera Club

MembersWelcome to our Camera Club website!
Welshpool Camera Club is a long-standing photographic society in this Mid-Wales town, dating back over four decades.
We meet on alternate Wednesdays in the New Street United Church, Welshpool. See the Programme page for the current year’s activities and Find Us page for location.

What We Do

We discuss photographic topics and improve our knowledge of modern techniques, WCCconcentrating more recently on digital photography and related image processing.
Visiting speakers show us their skills and methods for taking and editing photographs of a wide variety of different types. We also hold several internal and external competitions during the year, leading to a range of cups for their winners.
In the autumn, Welshpool Library kindly hosts a public show of our pictures. New members are always welcome, whatever their level of expertise and abilities. While we are interested in cameras and other equipment, we are not obsessed with high technology! Our main emphasis is on the final image, its subject, composition, presentation and photographic quality. We also organise trips to locations of interest that allow us to practice the art of photography and at the same time socialise with new and current members alike.
If you would like to join or just come along to a meeting, please contact the Secretary.

To find out more about what we do and the types of activities we take part in, please take time to look around this site. If you have any questions, please contact us, we will get back to you sooner than you think!
