Welshpool Camera Club
Welcome to our website! Welshpool Camera Club is a
long-standing photographic society in this Mid-Wales town, dating back over four decades. We meet on
alternate Wednesdays in the Armoury, Bridge Street, Welshpool. See the Programme page for the current year’s activities and Find Us page for location.
We discuss photographic topics and improve our knowledge of modern techniques, concentrating more recently on digital photography and related image processing.
Visiting speakers show us their skills and methods for taking and editing photographs of a wide variety of different types. We also hold several internal and external competitions during the
year, leading to a range of cups for their winners.
In the autumn, Welshpool Library kindly hosts a public show of our pictures. New members are always welcome, whatever their level of expertise. While we are interested in cameras and other equipment, we are not obsessed with high technology! Our main emphasis is on the final image, its subject, composition, presentation and photographic quality. If you would like to join or just come along to a meeting, please contact the Secretary. Please note that this site is evolving and further features will be activated in due course.
